We at Your Miniatures believe in helping make a difference in our world. With this in mind we will often hold special Ebay auctions for limited edition pieces we commission with the proceeds going to various charities. These charities will change from auction to auction. On this page you will find information about upcoming charity auctions as well as links and information about the charity the auction is supporting.
We are currently running a charity auction on ebay, auction number 170227729756 .
The proceeds from this auction will go entirely to St. Catherine's Hospice in the UK. This wonderful
organization took excellent care of Val Tolfrey and this auction is in memory of her, an avid Wade Collector and great friend . For more information about this organization, please see www.stch.org.uk.
The auction is for one of the LE 25 Mini Gem Elephant whimsies, the Bronze Elephant.
Leap for a Cure! 2008 Relay for Life!
June 13th-14th, 2008 is the Relay for Life event in Kansas City, the Northeast Jackson County division. "Cancer touches everyone in some way. This is a very important and exciting opportunity for the community to come together for a common cause and get involved." Seeking a cure for cancer, this all day event is also a celebration for survivors. Your Miniatures were proud to be asked to donate to this cause, and as benefitting their Leap for a Cure! Theme, donated a dozen different Wade Frogs for their silent auction.
The Unicorn auction has now concluded and resulted in $125 towards the Civil War Preservation Trust.
Our Civil War battlefields are being destroyed at an alarming rate. Hallowed ground, where more than 600,000 Americans gave their lives, is being paved over for shopping malls and housing tracts. The same land upon which our nation was formed--where our ancestors fought and died--is being consumed by fast food restaurants, amusement parks, and other forms of urban sprawl.
Today nearly 20 percent of America's Civil War battlefields have already been destroyed--denied forever to future generations. Of those that remain, only 15 percent are protected by the Federal government. There is only one national organization working to save all of these battlefields: The Civil War Preservation Trust. Please click the icon below to learn more about this organization.
This auction is run in cooperation with and the full support of CWPT.
